Card List Revealed and a New Opponent Approaches

Recommended Posts

Good evening everyone, or morning if you don't see this until you get up.

Was waiting for something nice to break in the news and this seemed like the most perfect time. I, the most amazing Majin Goo will be a writer for TCG Top Tier for Dragon Ball Super TCG by Bandai. I feel honored to be providing content for what I believe to be the most amazing online community in the world

Now for the good stuff. Bandai has continued to push their new game for Dragon Ball Super with 1000% moxie. The first noticeable and amazing tactic they've used, setting time lines. As promised, Bandai has released a card list for their Dragon Ball Super TCG. For now it appears to be just the commons but as any experienced player will tell you, their rarity can be deceiving and they often play large roles in any TCG.

My favorite reveal, BT1 - 053 C Senzu Bean. This card in my opinion is amazing. The ability to boost any card by +5000 is nice for 1 energy cost, but it doesn't end there. Afterwards, it allows you to choose up to two of your energy and put them into Active Mode, allowing you to stay in the fight and continue to combo and play cards. I'm dropping a pic of the card and the link to the list. Make sure you check out the link.

I saw all the commons were revealed today, but didn't have the time to see them as I was out and about, then got home and had things to do.

It seems like there is a lot of generalised mechanics, colours only having small things in difference to one another and those harken back to Magic/Duel Masters, from which a bulk of the game derives. Evolve is literally Evolution. Red is Red, Blue is Green, Green is Black and Yellow is Blue, the game's general base being White. Interesting that.

Not going to comment on any cards specifically, but it's looking good.

I like how the differences do clearly set the colors apart, nothing is homogenized like PanZ.

Also Yellow looks promising too. That "Counter Counter" hits me in all the right spots :D

We totally called that crap about a DBZ game only needing 4 styles (colors).

One thing I have to say is that I love the way the art looks in this game. With that I want to just want to list some of my favorite cards for each style.

This card reminds me of Red Observation from PanZ. This card will be good for the mid to late game I feel since it does cost 4 energy to use. With that though this card provides board wiping and will help eliminate some of your opponent's board real easily.

Bulma, God Tempter isn't my favorite blue card, Senzu Bean is, but since Majin Goo already mentioned that card I will go ahead and talk about this card. What I love about this card is that it is a tutor, which is always nice, but more importantly it allows you to go through your entire deck and see what's still in your deck and give you an idea on what cards are in your life pool. Very great card to use.

Energy Powered Gotenks is pretty interesting. In order to summon this guy you will need to have to 3 energy to summon him and he comes with 15000 attack. The part I love is that if he attacks the leader card the opponent must get rid of one of their cards in their hand. Now granted they get to chose which card to discard but still hand disruption is good regardless, especially if they are low on cards in their hands.

Bad Ring Laser, a counter to a counter. Always love those. Reminds me of spheres from DBZ Panini only much cheaper since it's a common. I'm sure this card will go into many decks for the time being.

These are just some of many favorites and I can't wait until we get to see the uncommons and the rares.

I think that is where Bandai will probably hit it home. Making cards needed to play at a confident level accessible. I'm hoping the SR's are powerful but in a unique way so as not to be required to function.
